Description
AT contracted TSL as the main contractor to deliver this high-profile public project at the very busy Orewa Beach Reserve adjacent to the Hibiscus Coast Highway.
The project comprised upgrading the 300m long section between Riverside Road and Empire Road to improve safety and increase connectivity to and from the beachfront reserve for pedestrians and cyclists.
Scope of works on the eastern (beach) side included upgrading stormwater drainage, construction of shared pathway, landscaping planting, new bollards, signage, new angled parking and two raised pedestrian crossings across the main road and on the western side, widening the existing footpath, installing new vehicle crossings, including at the BP service station and landscaping planter boxes on the outer edge of the footpaths in close proximity to the nearby shops to enhance local amenity and aesthetics.
